Happy Birthday Mary Hardin!!

Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law!!! You are a wonderful person, who provides so much joy to your family and many others. While things may have been rough lately, you have remained strong and your attitude and actions are a source of inspiration to us!!! Can't wait to see you next week and wish I could have been there today for your birthday. But.....we don't want baby Hardin to have 4 legs and 3 arms from radiation.

It's A.....GIRL!!

WOW! We received the wonderful news this morning that we will be the proud parents of a baby girl. With the majority of family members and friends predicting a boy (and us agreeing), it came as a great surprise that it's a girl. YEAH!! We're already talking names. Scooter wants something totally different and non-mainstream and I'm leaning more toward something traditional. The baby is healthy and we are eagerly anticipating her arrival January 15th. I will try and post the pictures from the ultrasound soon. We are so blessed! Let us know if you have any ideas for names.

Please Pray for Lu

I just finished my second day back to work. It feels so nice to have structure again!! We are leaving for Memphis this evening. Lu's surgery is early in the morning. Please pray that everything goes well. He will have a radioactive plate put on the back of his eye. He will go back on the 8th day to have it removed. Very painful!! Lu and Mary are extremely positve and I know everything will go well. I feel so blessed to be a part of their family!!

Happy Early Birthday Dad

Happy early birthday to the world's greatest dad, soon to be "Big Jan" (that's what he will be called instead of Grandpa). These are some of my favorite pictures!! I want to begin saying that I am very proud of my dad and everything he has taught me. I am so thankful my grandparents raised such a wonderful, honest, caring man.
I have such wonderul, vivid memories of my childhood. Dad, you filled my life with happiness and joy! I want to list some of my favorite memories.....feeding the kaw kaws, riding Annie, you teaching me how to ride my pink bike, punishments and losing privleges, running over the crow mountain flying squirrels, my imaginary friends, look at me! look at me! living in the yellow house on main street, the farm, teaching me fractions and how to drive, goose it....goose it, softball games, walking to the cemetary, and so on....
Dad, you have taught me to pay it forward, work hard, ask for things at the right time, patience, accept others, importance of family, honesty, wishing upon a star, but most of all you have taught me about love. Jan and I are so lucky to have you! It's a wonderful life!! I can't wait for my children to experience what you gave me. Thank you and I love you sooooo much!!!!

Have a great trip!!!
XOXO!!

Intelligender!

Well....I broke down yesterday and purchased the "Intelligender" test. I took it this morning and couldn't tell a thing. If it's ornange or pink, it's a girl..Smoky green, it's a boy. It looked like dirty bath water!! Who knows! I had a dream last night it was a BOY!! I worked in my classroom yesterday and a coworker came up to me and said..."Girl, you've gained some weight!" I didn't tell anyone the last month of school, so it's been a lot of fun sharing. They all think it's a boy too! My dad is the only one who thinks it's a girl!! Our dog, Meggie Bone, kept us up all night. She started coughing and wheezing. We think she has kennel cough. She went to the groomer last week for a bath and Scooter has been taking her to the dog park. She could have picked it up there. My Uncle Dave just called in in RX, so hopefully that will zap it. Thanks Dave!!
