Growing Up

My baby boy is growing up way too fast! He starts preschool in two weeks. It's going to be a big adjustment, especially for me. I'm looking forward to getting back on a schedule and excited for Harrison to be around other babies. But, it's going to be hard being away from him. I've never been away from him for more than a few hours. He's going to the farm tomorrow for a few days without ME!! This will be good for both of us. I'm meeting my parent's in Conway for the hand-off. He'll be crusing in his new carseat. Thanks mom and dad! I know he'll be spoiled rotten and prob not even miss me. We're having our kitchen cabinets painted and some other things done so we can put our house up for sale soon. Probably not good for a baby to inhale paint fumes. I'm also going to work in my classroom this Thursday and Friday. I can't imagine what it must look like.

Harrison is into everything lately, slobbering, and chewing on his hands and feet. He has bottom two teeth, which are so sharp! He still takes 5-6 bottles a day and cries when it's all gone. He's reaching for it and tries to lift it to his mouth. He loves baby food, especially squash. I feed him 3 jars a day. He cries when the jar is empty and it's a stage 2. He takes one afternoon nap a day and loves to sing himself to sleep. This boy doesn't want to miss a thing! There's something about the outdoors that totally calms him down. I thank God every single day for sending us this precious miracle!

Here's his latest pics.

Hangin with Lilli

Lilli came over to play today. Her mommy and I teach at the same school. I love watching Harrison interact with other babies. Lilli is such a sweet baby and we enjoyed their company. We sat outside this evening bc it finally cooled off and there was a nice breeze. Harrison goes into a trance immediately and wouldn't smile much. He loves to look around and the cicadas were buzzing like crazy.

Little Whimper

I don't think I posted this to our blog... but, maybe I did. This was about a month after Harrison was born. He had the softest little cry and it would break my heart to hear it. I could barely hear him thru the isolette. Every alarm would go off when he got agitated and the nurse would sedate him with ativan or pain meds to provide relief. Sometimes he just needed a diaper change or turned to a different position. I remember being SO nervous changing those teeny tiny diapers. Now I just plop him on the changing table, floor, or couch, throw those legs us and clean that boy off.

CT Results

Harrison had his monthly CT scan this morning. Everything looks good and there has been no change since last month. Dr. O said we could wait 2 more months this time for the next scan. No news is good news! I just wish this extra fluid would absorb and we would be dismissed. Sitting in the waiting room is so sad and really makes you count your blessings. I thank God each and every day for our little healthy blessing. Harrison rolled over from back to tummy today while we were waiting to be seen in our private room. He did it again when we got home! Good job boo! We have a pretty busy week with therapy and vision appments. Heading to the farm again this weekend. We get to meet baby Mayes, Jayme and Carter Jones' new little one. Her little girl, Ellie, calls Harrison, baby Harry. Isn't that sweet?? The name Harry is starting to stick with a lot of people. Ha! When baby Mayes was born, Jayme said she was calling him baby Harry. :-)

He looks so pitiful, but doesn't mind it one bit!

Scoot and I get to stand right by him each time. The techs were looking at me like...why are u taking pics of your son in a CT machine??

Tummy Time

Look at Harrison doing so great on his tummy! We're so proud! We're so blessed to be with Easter Seals. I can't say that enough. He's getting closer and closer to rolling over from back to tummy. He can roll from tummy to back. He chose to sit-up before rolling!! He's got his own agenda.
