Ms. Kitty & Mrs. Kathy

Ms. Kitty and Mrs. Kathy, from Fellowship Bible Church, visit my class every Tuesday. I've been meaning to take a picture of them with the children. They are the SWEETEST ladies and always bring my class a treat. They tell stories, show pictures, and tell each child how much they love them. Ms. Kitty is 91, I think. She loves to wear cute hats and stylish outfits. She lets them hug and kiss all over her!! They end their visit by praying for our school in the parent room upstairs. How lucky are these kids to have sooo many people love and care for them??? I feel lucky too!! I'm so thankful for their presence in my classroom.

Hopeful News!!

I LOVE, LOVE my new doctor!! He was a wealth of knowledge and I'm still trying to process all of it. What I do know, I'm in the right place now and I totally trust him!! He's a Christian man and provided us with LOTS of information. He got straight to the point and very matter of fact. He placed me on medication to regulate estrogen, lipids, ovulvation, etc. Eight vials of blood were taken in the lab, and I should receive the results within a week. I can't even remember all the test that were named. He also said I need to get my body in tip top shape!! We're not talking pregnancy/adoption for 6 more months. I feel such a sense of relief. I can take a breath... It's like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I want a baby more than ANYTHING and would give up everything to have one in my arms.... But, my body isn't ready. He said I'm still wound "tight" and need to heal from our loss. At the end of the appointment, he told me that my baby saved my life. She's my ANGEL and took away the pain and infection!! I left his office with a renewed spirit. Just what I needed. God leads us to people for a reason.

Oh....And he wants me to run a 1/2 marathon!!! What?? I'm going to start with a 5k!! Who wants to join me??

This is a fresh start and a new chapter in our lives. I'm going to do exactly what he says!! We are on the right track and that feels good. Scoot and I can relax and enjoy our lives together. SMILE:)

Doctor's Appointment

Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for since we lost our baby. I'm so nervous! This is a fresh start for us and I have faith that our new Dr. will give us some direction. My appointment is at 1:45 and my mom is going with me. She does a great job asking questions and remembering everything that was said. Please pray that he will give us answers. I have sooo many questions to ask him. I know that I can get pregnant, but can I carry a baby to term?? What are the chances of pre-eclampsia occuring again? Will my health be at risk again? The list goes on and on... I know that whatever path we take, it's the RIGHT one. God has a plan for us.

I also treated myself to a pedicure, which was one of the best I've ever had!!! It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad I got to enjoy another walk. Feeding Valentine with my dad has been such a sweet experience. I might be introducing you to Ruby the red calf pretty soon. Is spring break really half way over?? I can't believe it!! Please pray for Mary-Kaylin, our sweet 8 year old cousin. They found a brain tumor today at Children's. Asking everyone to pray for a miracle

Mary-Kaylin's Rules! She's a hoot!! The second one is my favorite!!

Update 1: Mary-Kaylin is in ICU at Children's Hospital and will have surgery today at 4:00. A shunt will be inserted to drain the fluid off of her brain. The Dr.'s are unable to perform a biopsy because the tumor is in such a dangerous spot. I will post more information later tonight. Please pray for this sweet little girl.

Update 2: The surgery went well and was earlier than expected. She is resting in her room. The tumor is the size of a quarter and will have to be monitored to make sure it doesn't grow. Please continue to pray.

Update3: Mary-Kaylin is doing great!! She will have a cat scan today and then move out of ICU!! YAY!! Hopefully, she will go home this week. The tumor is in such a bad spot that all they can do is watch it. Please continue to pray.

Update 4: A friend who is a neuro radiologist at another hospital has looked at Mary Kaylin's MRI with another neurologist and is giving them more information, advice and second opinions. That has been very helpful and reassuring. The tumor seems to be a low grade II glioma. It's close to the brain stem/between 3rd and 4th ventricle area/in the endothalumus and a little into the mid brain area. THE GODD NEWS.....They are going home today! She has been moved to a regular room after a CT scan this morning showed the shunt was working properly and in place. Her pain is under control and she is getting to go to the restroom on her own. Her first meal request was for bacon, eggs, and fruit - what a great lunch! PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THIS SWEET LITTLE ANGEL!!!

Update 5:Mary-Kaylin is home. After a 4 hour nap, she has had an uncomfortable afternoon with headaches and upset stomach. They are scheduling an appt with Dr. Y at UAMS tomorrow to get another set of eyes on her. I'm sure tomorrow will be a great day!

When they got home Kirsten, the young lady who helps them with the horses, rode MK's horse to the house. MK fed Trigger an apple and loved on him. That made her very happy!

Please pray that the tumor doesn’t grow and that it remains a level 2.

Their neuro friend has said this is the type of tumor they hate the most. It’s near impossible to treat with surgery due to location and undefined boundaries and it doesn’t respond well to other treatments. We need it not to grow! We need it to go away! PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!!

Also, please pray for Jim Kelley, Dustin Kelley's dad, of Russellville. He suffered from a heart attack on Friday night and was med flighted to LR. A procedure was done to clear some of the blockage and he will go home on Monday. He's doing well and will recover. Please pray for their family!!

Remembering 6 Months Ago-Click On Each Page

We received the most inspirational, spiritual letter from a family friend when we lost our sweet baby girl. I wanted to share it with you. It is amazing how our little baby touched so many people in such a short amount of time. Her little body made such an impression on him and I will forever hold that in my heart. My intent for this post is not to make you cry tears of sadness, but to count your blessings and never take them for granted. Scooter and I will carry Baby Girl Hardin's memory and see that it is never forgotten. She was our first child and will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
Here are some blessings in my life:
My Baby
My Faith
Scooter
My Mom & Dad, & Brother
Lu, Mary, & Mallory
Grandparents
A Great Big Family
Health
The Best Friends in the World
A Nice Home
A Great Job
Meggy Bone Dog
I AM TRULY BLESSED!!!
