Spring Break....I seriously needed a trip home to Bar 6 Ranch. So far, I've enjoyed 2 long walks, a nice visit with Granny, happy hour with my family, and fried chicken at Meme's. I also got to play with the sweet new puppies today. They are sooo precious and I wish we could take one home!!! HINT, HINT PAW!! But...I know Meggy Bone Dog needs our full attention!!! I'm enjoying my spring break sooo much!!!
Please continue to pray for Mary Kaylin!!! I'm trying to get a button made for her that says-Pray for Mary Kaylin. She's back at CH. They just went in for another CT.

Please pray for Mary-Kaylin, our sweet 8 year old cousin. They found a brain tumor today at Children's. Asking everyone to pray for a miracle

Mary-Kaylin's Rules! She's a hoot!! The second one is my favorite!!

Update 1: Mary-Kaylin is in ICU at Children's Hospital and will have surgery today at 4:00. A shunt will be inserted to drain the fluid off of her brain. The Dr.'s are unable to perform a biopsy because the tumor is in such a dangerous spot. I will post more information later tonight. Please pray for this sweet little girl.

Update 2: The surgery went well and was earlier than expected. She is resting in her room. The tumor is the size of a quarter and will have to be monitored to make sure it doesn't grow. Please continue to pray.

Update3: Mary-Kaylin is doing great!! She will have a cat scan today and then move out of ICU!! YAY!! Hopefully, she will go home this week. The tumor is in such a bad spot that all they can do is watch it. Please continue to pray.

Update 4: A friend who is a neuro radiologist at another hospital has looked at Mary Kaylin's MRI with another neurologist and is giving them more information, advice and second opinions. That has been very helpful and reassuring. The tumor seems to be a low grade II glioma. It's close to the brain stem/between 3rd and 4th ventricle area/in the endothalumus and a little into the mid brain area. THE GODD NEWS.....They are going home today! She has been moved to a regular room after a CT scan this morning showed the shunt was working properly and in place. Her pain is under control and she is getting to go to the restroom on her own. Her first meal request was for bacon, eggs, and fruit - what a great lunch! PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THIS SWEET LITTLE ANGEL!!!

Update 5:Mary-Kaylin is home. After a 4 hour nap, she has had an uncomfortable afternoon with headaches and upset stomach. They are scheduling an appt with Dr. Y at UAMS tomorrow to get another set of eyes on her. I'm sure tomorrow will be a great day!

When they got home Kirsten, the young lady who helps them with the horses, rode MK's horse to the house. MK fed Trigger an apple and loved on him. That made her very happy!

Please pray that the tumor doesn’t grow and that it remains a level 2.

Their neuro friend has said this is the type of tumor they hate the most. It’s near impossible to treat with surgery due to location and undefined boundaries and it doesn’t respond well to other treatments. We need it not to grow! We need it to go away! PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!!

Also, please pray for Jim Kelley, Dustin Kelley's dad, of Russellville. He suffered from a heart attack on Friday night and was med flighted to LR. A procedure was done to clear some of the blockage and he will go home on Monday. He's doing well and will recover. Please pray for their family!!

Remembering 6 Months Ago-Click On Each Page

We received the most inspirational, spiritual letter from a family friend when we lost our sweet baby girl. I wanted to share it with you. It is amazing how our little baby touched so many people in such a short amount of time. Her little body made such an impression on him and I will forever hold that in my heart. My intent for this post is not to make you cry tears of sadness, but to count your blessings and never take them for granted. Scooter and I will carry Baby Girl Hardin's memory and see that it is never forgotten. She was our first child and will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
Here are some blessings in my life:
My Baby
My Faith
Scooter
My Mom & Dad, & Brother
Lu, Mary, & Mallory
Grandparents
A Great Big Family
Health
The Best Friends in the World
A Nice Home
A Great Job
Meggy Bone Dog
I AM TRULY BLESSED!!!

Doesn't she look pretty?
Can you see Meg behind the plant?

I seriously have the best FIL ever!

I love entertaining. Mom, aren't you proud???

Lu, Mary, and Mallory came over last night for dinner. I made chicken spaghetti, mixed veggies, rolls, corn on the cob, and funfetti cupcakes for dessert. Jayme gave me the idea from her blog. I got out my pretty spring dishes and serving pieces. Meg was a complete mess, so Lu decided to give her a bath. Apparently, he loves to give Snoop baths too! I'm embarassed to admitt that Meg hasn't had a bath since September. Oops!! I have the best FIL ever!!! Thanks Lu!!! Meg thinks she's hot stuff, especially on our walk today. We had a great weekend with our family. Scooter played golf with his dad yesterday and today. He's currently listening to a Tony Robin's CD and taking notes. Interesting......

We are headed to NWA this weekend to see Dale B. and the next week is spring break. YAY!!! I'm looking forward to relaxing in Russellville.

It will be 6 months this Thursday that we lost our sweet baby girl. Our lives have changed so much. I'm a different person and I miss my baby so much. Some days are harder than others....But, I feel like Scooter and I have come along way together as a couple. We are healing through the pain and know God has a plan for us. I don't know what that plan will be, but I do know it is a great one. I can't wait to see what He has in store for us. Adoption? Surrogacy? Another Pregnancy? I don't know.... However our baby gets here, she/he will be a true gift from God. This is the first time in my life I haven't had a plan. We continue to remain positive and hopeful. I couldn't be in this place w/o my faith in God, Scooter, my family, and friends. Hopefully, we will have more direction after our Dr.'s appointment, March 30 with Dr. Wendel. I'm ready. I have been waiting for this day. This is a fresh start and a new beginning. I have to be patient. Please pray.

Lu's Eye

Lu had his check up with Dr. Wilson in Memphis today. The tumor behind his eye has shrunk a teeny bit, which is good news, but the doctor sees areas that aren't responding and wants to do some laser surgery on those areas. The surgery will be out-patient, but with general anesthesia, and the doctor says he'll be in quite a bit of pain for a couple of days. Dr. Wilson says since the cancer has recurred once already, he wants to make sure it doesn't have a chance to do it again. They haven't scheduled the surgery yet, but it will be in 3 or 4 weeks.

Please keep Lu in your prayers!!!!

Spring Forward

I should be outside enjoying this glorious day, but I'm way too tired from yesterday. Maybe we'll take Meg for a walk later this evening. I had a great weekend with my family. I met my aunt and cousin at the mall for lunch yesterday. My brother also came in town too. We relaxed around the house and then went to Lu and Mary's condo for a night of fun. We enjoyed drinks on the 18th floor, overlooking the city and dinner at the Copper Grill downstairs. Kathryn and Mallory joined us too. We made a huge breakfast this morning and they left around two. Thanks mom for sending the yummy food.
Mallory is anchoring tonight, so be sure and tune in to see the best reporter in the state!! We are so proud of her!
