Lu had his check up with Dr. Wilson in Memphis today. The tumor behind his eye has shrunk a teeny bit, which is good news, but the doctor sees areas that aren't responding and wants to do some laser surgery on those areas. The surgery will be out-patient, but with general anesthesia, and the doctor says he'll be in quite a bit of pain for a couple of days. Dr. Wilson says since the cancer has recurred once already, he wants to make sure it doesn't have a chance to do it again. They haven't scheduled the surgery yet, but it will be in 3 or 4 weeks.

oh, no! i'm so sorry! i will definitely be thinking about him & you guys & praying that the laser works. hopefully, his doctor can give him something for the pain.
