Good Deeds!!! The most wonderful week!!

This has been the best week at school. I felt sooo much joy and happiness this week. So many people have reached out and blessed my class with Christmas joy!! Thanks so much to all of you for your acts of kindess. Giving is the reason for the season!!

He rode his new bike up and down the hall over and over and over........ He had a permanent smile!!!

Thank you Chi Chi, Mary Kaylin, & Mary Hardin for the adorable XMAS bags. The kids loved them!! They had so much fun opening them on Thursday.

I love my para-pro Kim. She helps me out so much and the kids absolutely LOVE her!! Thanks for everything.

I love my class. I look forward to seeing their sweet, smiling faces every morning.

Thank you soooo much James and Marie Biggers for the baby dolls and footballs. They went soooo crazy!!! The girls were rocking their babies back and forth, back and forth. We went around in a circle and each told their babies new name.

So Precious!!!!

Getting Ready for the NFL!

Santa Claus is coming to town.... Thank you soooo much Smith Barney for making today soooo special. This will be a day they will never forget. Thanks again for your generosity.

Mallory arranged for Channel 4 to come. My class was featured on the 5:00 news. Love you Mal and thanks for helping with the XMAS party. I couldn't of done it without you.

The children are waiting so patiently for their gifts. Each child received new clothes, shoes, and toys ( Baby Alive, Bike, Remote Control Cars, a Vacuum, etc.) Can you believe a kid wanted a vacuum? Actually, yes...I bet I would have wanted one too. It was amazing!!!

The kids were so excited to see Channel 4...

They fell in love with Mal. Darron stayed on his bike the entire party.

This is the sweetest video ever! It will bring tears to your eyes!!

Happy Birthday Scooter!! Graceland & Paula Deen

Happy birthday Scooter! I love you sooo much!
Scooter turned 31 today. We celebrated yesterday with a trip to Memphis. We started the day with a trip to Graceland! I had never been there (Scooter has been numerous times). It was so much fun. I loved the jungle room and seeing Elvis's grave was really interesting. From Graceland, we did some Christmas shopping and then went to Paula Deen's new buffet at Harrah's Casino in Tunica. It was sooo good and we actually saw Paula Deen in person. She was there taking pictures with some "high rollers." She looks a lot skinnier and prettier in person. Tonight, we celebrated at Scooter's parents house and had a great time!

How Sweet!

My sweet friend, Kathy Watson, sent me a gorgeous bouquet of roses and chocolates today from Tipton and Hurst. She is such a generous and inspirational woman. We met last year through Fellowship Bible Church. She has walked this path before and understands what I've gone through during the last couple of months. She made my day and I feel so fortunate to have a friend like her. Things are getting better and I can't say thank you enough for all of the sweet cards, phone calls, lunch dates, family time, Scooter's cousins decorating our yard for fall, spa days, etc. We would not be where we are without the love and support of our friends and family. Life is all about relationships and we are truly blessed!!! My mom and Meme are coming Friday for Holiday House and Silks A Bloom's open house. My mom and I LOVE Christmas trees and decorations. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

TWO YEARS!

Scooter and I celebrated our two year anniversary on Oct. 23! Rosalind and Garr Barron gave us a wonderful gift certificate to 1620 Restaurant in Little Rock to celebrate. We had a fabulous time! Scooter and I sat down and listed some of our best memories from the past two years. So much has happened, but without each other, we could not have made it through. Here are some happy memories .........

- Hiking in the Grand Canyon (2008)
- Surfing in Maui, Hawaii (2006)
- Phantom of the Opera, New York City (2008)
- Dancing in a Las Vegas lounge (2006)
- Avie Chasing Leonardo Dicaprio in Las Vegas (2006)
- Spending a wonderful week in Sedona, AZ (2008)
- Scooter's 30th Birthday Party (2007)
- Scooter's many performances as Elvis (2007-08)
- Getting our new dog Meg! (2007)
- Fruity, tropical drinks at Rum Runners on Grand Bahama Island (2006)
- Great dinner with Mallory in Seaside, FL (2007)
- Someone throwing a half eaten taco at Scooter from a car in Maui (2006)
- Many wonderful times with our families
- Buying our first house in Hillcrest (2007)

We have truly had two wonderful years together. While all of the memories listed above were great, we have a great time just hanging out. We entertain each other and most importantly laugh a lot! With the recent loss of our baby daughter, our marriage has grown stronger. We will always share a love for Baby Girl Hardin. She has already taught us so much. Love to you all.

Beautiful Hands and Feet

When our baby girl was taken to the funeral home, we were blessed to have a family friend, Jim Bob Humphrey, take care of her. He personally took the time to stamp her hands and feet on a piece of paper. He mailed this to us, along with a nice letter. Above you can see Baby Girl Hardin's handprints and footprints. As you can see, her hands and feet were small, but perfectly formed. (Thanks to my dad for scanning this document for me.)

Last night, we went to Searcy and had dinner with Scooter's grandmother, Chrystal. She is always so much fun to be around.

I had a very nice brunch with several members of Scooter's family this morning. Scooter and I are going to do some shopping today and may go to the movies. He wants to go back to Branson to see the Elvis Tribute Artist he likes so much. We'll see.
