The Waiting Game...

Harrison had a CT Scan this morning at ACH bc of increased head circumference. Anytime a bleed is involved, it's imperative that it get checked quite often. On the last head US, there was still fluid present at the front of is brain. Dr. O'Brien measured Harrison's head circumference. Last month it was 42.5 and today's was 44.5 cm. That was a red flag. He's concerned that the fluid left from the brain bleed is increasing, which can lead to hydrocephalus. We're praying so hard that the fluid has been absorbed or is still the same. If it's still the same, then we just watch it every month. If it's absorbed, our Lord has provided a divine intervention. I should hear something tomorrow morning. He did such a great job during the procedure.

Later this afternoon, Dr. Roach called BC Harrison's blood test indicated he has low thyroid. So back for more bloodwork tomorrow and should get the results this week. We will then be referred to the Endocrinology Clinic at ACH. My guess is he'll take a daily hormone pill. I'm eager for him to take this bc the thyroid plays a major role in brain and growth development the first two years of life. So please pray for healing! Harrison hasn't shown one sign of hydrocephalus or low thyroid. He's eating 2 bowls of cereal, 5-6 bottles a day, weighs 15.5. pounds, smiles all the time and always in a good mood. I'm so very thankful his PT notices certain things bc she really pushed me to get him checked out. I'm so very grateful for her. This might be a bump in the road, but it's nothing we can't handle!!
