Spa Day

I have the most wonderful friends in the world!! They treated me to a 3 hour Spa, where I received a 1 hour massage, mud body wrap, and pedicure. The massage therapist expressed how tense I was and I said...... you have no idea!! I can't express how blessed we are to have such wonderful friends and family. I also got a letter today from the doctor who assisted with my delivery. He stated that there was an infection in my placenta too.

We continue to receive many letters of support and encouragement from friends and family. Scooter and I truly feel like we have a guardian angel watching over us. We received her ashes last Saturday in a beautiful little urn.

I'm going back to work tomorrow and know this will help with the healing process. Scooter and I are brainstorming ideas about a trip to celebrate our 2 year anniversary on October 23. We both love the idea of Maui, since we were married there. We are ready to get back on surf boards and ride the waves!! Love to you all.

Harrison Luther Hardin was born on 10.10.10, after I went into pre-term labor (again) at 26 weeks. We lost Baby Girl (23 weeker) two years ago, September 19, 2008. I suffered from PreEclampsia with both. After our first loss, I was referred to a high risk maternal fetal med dr. I had the BEST prenatal care under Dr. Wendel and Stephanie Wyatt. I give them and our lord credit for getting me to 26 weeks!

Harrison spent 93 days in the NICU at UAMS, where he got expert care from a team of Neonatologists, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Lactation Consultants, Ocupational/Physical Therapists, and Nurse Practitioners. We became constant fixtures in the NICU and have made a whole slew of lifelong friends there. We experienced extubation, reintubation, tube feeds, kangaroo care, breast feeds (me),apneas, caffeine, oxygen, d/c tube feedings, d/c O2, a car seat test...I'm sure I left something out. Since his homecoming on January 13, 2011, Harrison has thrived. Amazingly, his lungs are developing well for a baby with Chronic Lung Disease and doing developmentally well for a Level 3 brain bleed. Harrison receives physical therapy once a week and will attend Easter Seals Day School in August. We are so blessed with an amazing family and the most supportive friends in the world!
